Recently commended by Roger Sanchez as being “one of the forerunners of producers that had the biggest impact for my dance floor in 2009”, Kid Massive is definitely the one to watch. Hailing from Denmark and having contributed heavily to the scene there – in 2005 he was awarded “Best Upfront Single” at the Danish Deejay Awards – he now resides in the UK and has watched his profile grow alongside the respect earned from industry peers. With a signature style of driving but uplifting house, reflecting sounds across the entire genre and tight production skills to seal the deal, Kid Massive has received support from key figures like Roger Sanchez, Axwell, Laidback Luke, TV Rock and Avicii, to name but just a few.
His first big commercial success “Get Busy” was released in 2008 and has since lead on to hugely popular reworks of the seminal classics “Music Is The Answer” and “Touch Me (In The Morning)” - the latter was released in 2009 on Sanchez s Stealth Records. More recently, his original production “Thru The Fire” achieved widespread acclaim featuring on radio shows and compilations world-wide.
In 2010 he has kicked things off in appropriate massive style, dropping not one but two huge tracks. Firstly with “Pride (A Deeper Love)”; another rework, this time of the C&C Music Factory classic complete with epic remix by John Dahlbäck. It gained praise from house heavyweights and radio support across the globe, achieved shining reviews in both IDJ and Mixmag and reached number 5 in the UK Buzz Chart.
Hot on its heels has been “Home”, a powerhouse collaboration between KM, Grammy Award winning artist Paul Harris (from Dirty Vegas), Michael Gray of Full Intention fame and sultry vocalist Sam Obernik (notable successes include “Just Won’t Do” and “Baditude”). Hailed as Ibiza summer magic and championed by Pete Tong on Radio 1, “Home” hit number 2 in the UK Buzz Chart and number 5 in the Music Week/Ministry of Sound Cool Cuts Chart – the definitive music industry guide in the UK.
As resident for the famed clubbing brand Kinky Malinki, he regularly plays at London s infamous clubs including Pacha and superclub Matter, voted number 6 in DJ Mag s Top 100 Club poll this year before its recent closure. Kid s energetic sets have rocked festival tents and dance floors across the globe this year, as he now turns his studio focus to his highly anticipated debut artist album due for release in 2011.
Eagerly awaiting fans can expect a dynamic range of tracks featuring international talent such as Dutch MC Jay Colin, UK popstress Sam Obernik, Australian indie act Mr Wilson and Tiesto s favourite vocalist Julie Thompson. Get ready for Kid Massive to unleash an even bigger sound in the coming months!
